Birthday Time!

My little girl's birthday is in a few days (she'll be 9!) and I was inspired by the upcoming festivities to make a Happy Birthday album.

Thinking that a birthday themed album would be a great gift item for a friend, family member or co-worker, I made a fully coordinating birthday card to go with it.

The paper bag album measures just over 5x5 inches, and the card is also 5x5.  Both have fun, glittered letters on the front.

I used K&Company's "Jubilee" paper line, some of their 3d embellishments and a bunch of other odds and ends from my abundant stash.  :)

One of my favorite things about paper bag albums is that they are full of pockets.  This one has 3 side openings, plus 5 pockets sewn into the pages.  See the left page above?  There's a photo mat tucked into a pocket there.

And here you can see the large photo mats (double-sided) that pull out of the side pockets.  You or the recipient can add other memorabilia in the pockets, too.  There are so many possibilities!

The matching card is very simple, but is really what turns an already great album into a fabulous gift!
